McCann Sarajevo, supporting partner of Diplomatic Winter Bazaar
The traditional winter charity event, organized by the diplomatic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was initiated with the aim of raising funds to help and assist various associations that take care of children throughout the country.
This year, DWB was able to attract a large number of curious visitors that had the opportunity to meet gastronomy, customs and culture of different countries that displayed more than 60 stands at DWB. Total of forty embassies and international organizations participated in the organization of this year’s bazaar, and Agency McCann Sarajevo was proud to be supporting partner.
Agency helped with the implementation of campaigns designed to promote DWB, in order to attract as many people possible to buy the ticket, visit Bazaar and thus contribute to its humanitarian character.
Visitors of Diplomatic Winter Bazaar had the opportunity to try delicious traditional dishes from different countries and buy various gifts, such as handmade crafts, knitwear, organic food, wine, cosmetics and herbal medicines, jewelry, books, dishes and many other. Also, visitors were able to bid at the auction to win interesting deals and collectables such as football player’s Edin Džeko jerseys, sold for total of 750 BAM.
Total income from sold tickets, items on the stands and auctions was donated to various humanitarian organizations in B&H that take care of children: “Christine Witcutt” - day care center for children with special needs operating within the "Vladimir Nazor" primary school in Sarajevo, "Down Sy i Mi " Association from Banja Luka, the Franciscan International Student Center in B&H and “The Strengthening Families Project”, which is improving the living conditions of families at risk in Srebrenica and the surrounding rural areas, in cooperation with the international SOS Children's villages.
Visitors were introduced to and informed about all of these organizations and their activities and needs through a video presentation produced by the Agency, communicated across the number of media channels during the promotional campaign.
